Edgar Macasaet Salas was born on the 30th day of December 1967. He is married and has a son named Cien Esquisse. An architect by profession, he is currently a member of the Holy Angel University-College of Engineering and Architecture faculty. He writes poetry in English and in Kapampangan, preferring the Shakespearean 14-line sonnet format. As a visual artist, he has so far mounted noteworthy three one-man shows in Angeles City. He plays guitar and piano, but admits to being a lousy singer (having heard a recording of himself at song, he decided to stick to reading his poetry instead). Gary, a.k.a. Garu, is a toy collector and is a member of the Diecast Car Collector of the Philippines (www.dcph.info).
